Megan Kozak
M.Ed., B.Ed., B.CI.
Co-founder of Lighthouse Relationships, Megan is an accredited Relationships Educator and Strategist, who holds Masters level qualifications in adult education, Prepare Enrich Assessment and Counselling, and is Level 1 trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
Megan has a passion for working with couples who are preparing for marriage or are wanting to enrich their relationship, as she loves helping people set themselves up for success with effective and powerful habits.
Megan has 15 years of experience in educational, corporate, private and community environments helping people learn practical relationship strategies, including communication, conflict resolution and stress management. She has worked in Senior Educational Leadership positions in Brisbane Catholic Education, has spoken at national conferences and contributed to professional publications.
Megan loves theatre, and currently balances speaking engagements, coaching, workshop facilitation and individualised relationship education.
Nahum Kozak
M.Ed., MPsych (Org), BA (Psych - hons).
Co-founder of Lighthouse Relationships, Nahum is a regular relationship expert appearing on ABC Radio Brisbane, 7 News, and is Level 3 trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
Nahum has been a fully registered psychologist since 2010, and has over 20 years’ experience in private, educational, community and corporate settings. He has also worked as a Counsellor and Relationship Educator at Centacare - with a focus on pre-marriage preparation and relationship enrichment. He has also been a Corporate Coach, and Researcher.
Nahum has provided professional supervision for early-career counsellors and psychologists. His research on wellbeing, social connection, and sleep quality has been published in the International Journal of Social Psychiatry.
Nahum loves gardening and trying to jump as high as his kids on the trampoline!
Nahum also provides individual and couples counselling through North Brisbane Psychologists.
A little more about us...6th April 2010Shining a little light on our loveMegan and Nahum are a wife and husband team who fell in love and stayed that way… with some effort, and by learning and using evidence-based skills. With six bachelor and master degrees and over 35 years of professional experience between them, Lighthouse Relationships was the perfect way to bring psychological research and quality educational practice into their combined passion area - building relationships that last.
Like a lighthouse, a relationship is built brick by brick to create a place of strength, safety and hope. Megan and Nahum are happy to help you to build your own ‘Lighthouse Relationship’.
The happy couple have been together for 16 years, married for 11, and have two beautiful daughters to keep them on their toes!
