Nahum is a psychologist who provides relationship counselling as well as individual psychology sessions; face to face in Brisbane or via zoom. He offers supervision to psychologists and counsellors aiming to specialise in relationship counselling, and is an engaging speaker for organisations seeking to build relationship capital at work and at home. Nahum has a warm and friendly personality and will help you feel instantly at ease.

Co-founder of Lighthouse Relationships, Nahum has appeared regularly as a relationship expert on ABC Radio Brisbane, 7 News, and is Level 3 trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Nahum maintains a high level of professionalism through regular professional development and .

Nahum has held psychology registration since 2008, and has over 20 years’ experience in private, educational, community and corporate settings. He has a passion for relationship counselling, initially working with young couples as a Counsellor and Relationship Educator at Centacare in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane - with a focus on both helping couples repair relationships and on setting couples up for success through pre-marriage preparation.

For organisations, Nahum is passionate about the nexus of good relationships, positive psychology and total health and wellbeing, and has provided keynotes, workshops, and professional development locally and internationally. He has assisted organisations in moving ‘from good to great’ in terms of wellbeing, and even directed a five-year ongoing positive psychology change management process with executive, staff and students of a premier educational institution based in Brisbane - John Paul College, Daisy Hill. Nahum has consulted, been a speaker for and advised other well-respected groups large and small including Education Queensland, and the psychologists of the Australian Psychological Society’s Coaching Interest Group.

Nahum has provided professional supervision for early-career counsellors and psychologists. His thesis research on wellbeing, social connection, and sleep quality has been published in a co-authored paper in the International Journal of Social Psychiatry, he holds a master of psychology degree and is an organisational psychology registrar.

Finally, Nahum loves gardening, and trying to jump as high as his kids on the trampoline!
