Georgia is a caring and experienced therapist, specialising in both couples therapy and individual counselling. Holding multiple degrees and graduate diplomas in a number of disciplines, (including in Psychology, Counselling, and Business), Georgia is a well-rounded professional and holds a deep understanding of the issues faced by couples and individuals across the lifespan.
Georgia’s expertise in understanding relationships has been recognised in a range of forums - including most recently being called upon to provide advice on the challenges and opportunities for couples entering retirement to ‘Starts at 60’. (If you haven’t heard of it before, ‘Starts at 60’ is an online lifestyle advisory network for over 55s with more than a million members). Georgia has also undertaken advanced Clinical Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and enjoys helping couples to re-ignite their spark, rediscover one another, and find ways to resolve hurts and differences from the past. With a strong foundation in evidence-based therapy practices, Georgia brings a highly skilled and compassionate approach to her work.
Passionate about making a positive impact in her community, Georgia has dedicated her time to various charitable organisations (including Friend to the Homeless, Orange Sky Australia, and Share the Dignity). She is also a member of the Family Reference Group for the National Office of Headspace Australia, influencing policy and communication within this peak mental health organisation.
As a people-person with over 15 years of experience in people leadership roles, Georgia excels in building strong connections and fostering a sense of trust with her clients. She understands the importance of tailoring therapy to meet each individual's unique needs, utilising evidence-based techniques to guide her practice.
