If you’re a gay or same-sex couple who are going to get married, our Prepare-Enrich pre-marriage counselling program can help set your marriage up for a strong start!

How can we help?

We work with a number of pre-marriage issues faced by LGBTQIA+ couples, including:

• communication struggles between you and your partner

• ongoing ‘gridlocked’ disagreements with family members or in-laws that need to be decided before the big day

• misunderstandings about what you and your partner want for your future together

• jealousy or insecurity about one another’s past

• difficulty making big decisions about your wedding and future; these may be kids, religious beliefs, or other major life decisions

• doubts and questions about whether you should marry or separate

• build your communication skills in order to truly understand each other

• work out differences with family members and in-laws so that you can have a peaceful and happy wedding day

Pre-marriage counselling is undertaken by couples who want to set their marriage up for success and ensure they have a long-lasting marriage.

• We’re available from 8am until 8.30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays - as well as 8.00am to 5.30pm on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Lighthouse Relationships helps gay couples to prepare for marriage face to face in New Farm - just a hop, skip and a jump from Kangaroo Point, Fortitude Valley, Teneriffe, East Brisbane, and Brisbane city. We are also not far from Spring Hill, Kelvin Grove, Petrie Terrace, Albion, Herston, West End, Bowen Hills, Highgate Hill, Norman Park, Hawthorne, Wooloowin, Wilston, Nundah, Clayfield, Windsor and Balmoral. We’re also available for Telehealth or zoom sessions from anywhere.

On street parking is available, and our New Farm office is only 300 metres from the local New Farm ferry, and or directly across the road from the nearest Brisbane City bus stop.
